Samsung Solid State Server Data Recovery

Almost every article you read rates Samsung SSDs among the highest for both Consumer and Professional use. Samsung SSD technology as a whole has been gaining significant ground in the consumer markets recently. To the average consumer, the speed of the Servers and their lack of moving parts make them very attractive. However, with the growing base of installed units, here at ACE Data Recovery we have also seen a significant increase in Samsung SSD data recoveries.

If you are not sure what is happening with your Samsung device, call us for a free consultation. When you are ready for us to do a free evaluation, you can bring your device to any of our three full-service labs or bring it to one of our 32 service center locations throughout the United States and Canada. Once you have decided to move forward with your Samsung SSD recovery, you will not be charged unless your recovery is successful.

ACE Data Recovery developed technologies to read, reconstruct, restore, and recover encrypted data from Samsung Solid State Servers (SSDs) that are based on the Samsung’s MGX dual core and older controllers.

Samsung EVO and QVO series are developed for everyday computing with a high level of performance and endurance. Based on Samsung’s V-NAND technology, the EVO optimizes performance for your daily computing tasks. Designed for mainstream desktop PCs and laptops, the EVO SSDs come in a wide range of capacities and form factors. The Samsung QVO series utilize Latest 4-bit MLC technology and delivers premium capacity for the same price.

Samsung EVO SATA SSD

Whatever size your computer needs, there is a Samsung EVO for you. Choose among the 2.5-inch size for desktop PCs and laptops, and the SATA-based M.2 (2280) or the mSATA for ultra-slim computing devices.
The hard limit of SATA interface is a factor, so it's more difficult to make the EVO stand out from the competition based on performance alone. Samsung managed to pull out a few other impressive numbers, such as endurance, but price is not one of them. Speeds are consistent, even under heavy workloads and multi-tasking allowing for faster file transfer.
Your data is protected - the EVO supports AES 256-bit hardware-based encryption and is compliant with TCG Opal and IEEE 1667.

Samsung EVO and EVO Plus NVMe

The newest EVO and EVO Plus NVMe powered by Samsung’s latest V-NAND technology offers unrivaled performance in its class when taking on demanding tasks like 4K content editing, 3D modeling and simulation as well as heavy gaming.

In order to avoid thermal issue for the NVMe SSD, the Samsung has integrated a few layers of copper underneath the back label. Don’t peel that lable off!

Samsung QVO SATA SSD

The QVO SSD gives customers huge storage capacity, with solid performance, reliability, and exceptional value. This was achieved with Samsung’s latest 4-bit MLC NAND flash technology. The QVO establishes a new entry-level tier in Samsung's highly successful SSD product family. The QVO, out the box, is given a write endurance rating equivalent to 0.3 Server Writes Per Day (DWPD), which even for 1TB means 300GB a day, every day, which goes above and beyond most consumer workloads.

The Samsung QVO is the first of a new wave of SATA SSDs that should be able to beat the prices on even DRAMless TLC-based SSDs thanks to the increased density of QLC NAND—and the QVO itself is equipped with a full-size LPDDR4 DRAM cache.

Samsung USB and Thunderbolt 3 Portables

The Samsung Portable SSD elevates data transfer speeds to the next level and unleashes a new experience in external storage. With a compact and durable design and password protection, the Samsung’s Portable is truly easy to carry and stores data securely.

The Portable SSD Software includes AES 256-bit hardware data encryption and optional password protection. The Servers also features a shock-resistant internal frame and rugged metal housing designed to withstand falls from up to 2 meters (6.6 feet), while the integrated Dynamic Thermal Guard technology and built-in heat sink keep the unit cool no matter what the workload.

Even your "bulletproof" Samsung Pro SSD can fail

The Samsung Pro's higher price comes with a far higher endurance rating - two times higher than EVO family. ACE discovered that Samsung artificially lowers its endurance ratings for warranty purposes. Unlike other manufactures SSD, Samsung's Servers will continue to operate even after it you have exhausted the warrantied endurance. One thing you lose after the Server passes the threshold is the ability to RMA the Server. Over provisioning, is one of the most common ways that SSD designers can help assure that an SSD has a longer life than the flash’s endurance rating would support. If an SSD contains more flash than is presented at its interface (officially declared capacity), the controller can manage wear across a larger number of blocks.

Samsung Pro SATA SSD

Samsung SSD PRO with traditional SATA and SATA M.2 give customers speed and endurance. Powered by Samsung V-NAND, it’s designed to handle heavy workloads on workstations, entry level servers and NAS appliances with heavy use in mind.

Samsung Pro NVMe

The NVMe M.2 is a new interface that uses the PCI Express standard, one that was once reserved only for video cards, to connect to a computer's main board. This interface allows for much higher bandwidth (currently up to 32 gigabits per second or 4,000 megabytes per second) compared to that of the existing SATA, which caps at just 6Gbps.
