The Asustor AS5304T is a 4-bay NAS designed for live streamers and content creators, next to fulfilling its primary role as cloud storage. The Asustor AS5304T offers top-shelf hardware, including dual 2.5-gigabit LAN ports with link aggregation, is equipped with a powerful processor Gemini Lake Intel Celeron J4105 Quad-Core CPU running at 1.5GHz, has 4GB of DDR4-2400 RAM (expandable to 8GB), and 4GB of flash memory, and supports 4K video decoding. The Asustor AS5304T NAS supports Btrfs and EXT4 file systems and RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, JBOD, and Single Disk. The NAS is easy to install and uses tool-free drive sleds that will accommodate 2.5- and 3.5-inch drives, and it offers an extensive catalog of apps.
The NAS has four SATAIII drive bays compatible with 2.5 and 3.5" drives, and max internal raw capacity is 54TB using 14TB drives. The AS5304T supports the use of three AS6004U expansion units, which bring total capacity to 16 drives and 224TB. Expansion is done over the three USB 3.0 ports, two of them are on back, and one is on front. Ethernet connectivity is provided by two 2.5GBe ports both supporting Link Aggregation. The Included HDMI port is 2.0a compliant supporting 4K output.
The Asustor Data Manager (ADM) operating system is easy to use and comes with colorful desktop icons. Using the Storage Manager icon, users can create RAID volumes, configure iSCSI (Internet Small Computer Systems Interface) targets, and check the health of each installed disk. With the Access Control icon, you can add and remove users, create user groups, assign access rights to folders and apps. Backup and Restore allows users to configure and schedule local and cloud backups, restore a previous backup, and configure remote syncing. The ADM's App Central provides links to more than 280 downloadable Asustor and third-party apps that allow you to use the NAS a mail server, a cloud server, an IP camera surveillance station, a web host, a VPN server, and much more.
